| subject: | POLICE OFFICERS SHOT... |
On 12-01-09, ROSS SAUER said to TIM RICHARDSON: RS>> That's eight felony convictions that never should have happened. TR> The guy had so many felony convictions he should have been doing life TR> without parole after number three. RS>Well, he's dead now. RS>As to follow-up, I think anyone who aided him, (like his sister is alleged RS>to have given him money, drove him around, and bandaged him up,) should be RS>charged as an accesory to 4 murders. There are some who will be prosecuted as accessories, including someone who was driving the car he arrived at the shooting scene in, and escaped in. RS>And all those who totally screwed up, letting this batshit-crazy thug out RS>on the streets, should be held accountable. RS>Including Pass-The-Buckabee. RS>Pulaski County Prosecutor Larry Jegley, whose office opposed Clemmons' RS>parole in 2000 and 2004, said Huckabee's comments were "red herrings." Huckabee was just one person in a long line of dis-connects in the case. There were several stops along the way to Huckabee's desk in this guy's saga of clemency and early release. The governor of a state is, like a president or any other chief executive, reliant on the advise and knowledge of the people he has under him. As for Jegley, I'd look for him to be some sort of political rival of Huckabee's. As a matter of fact, Huckabee has already come out and taken responsibility for his part in the dis-connect of information, tempered by wisdom, that took a guy who had so many years in prison to serve he'd have been an old old man before he got released, to someone who the entire system allowed to fall through the cracks, and cost four cops their lives. Someone in another echo (Lofaso, as a matter of fact) was just whining about how terrible it is to put heavy sentences on individuals who are extremely young at the time they commit their crime for which a big sentence is handed down. In fact, Clemmons turns out to be a shining example of Lofaso not knowing what the fuck he's talking about. (as usual!) As a matter of fact, there have been so many cases all over the country prior to this one that were `poster boy' examples for ignoring clemency ideas in this guy's case, it isn't even funny. After the second felony conviction, he should have gotten a sentence that kept him in prison into his fifties at least. RS>"My word to Mr. Huckabee is man up and own what you did," Jegley said. Huckabee has already done this. Jegley is blowing smoke. Probably a political enemy of Huckabee's. "Oddly I still have two chunks of rebar close at hand." .......Wayne Chirnside --- *Durango b301 #PE** Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 10/1 11/200 331 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 187 140/1 226/0 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 396/45 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 SEEN-BY: 2222/700 2320/100 5030/1256 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
