Strange! I'm also using golded/lnx from a putty window right now, and the F1
key works as expected...

It's a bit too soon for that. ;)

The configuration program still is a big hurdle to convert to linux. Or
changing the configuration to some kind of text files might also be an option,
but also a big task...

The windows mingw version? Or the linux version? ;)
