It's sad your bird is experiencing failure to thrive.   I had a rescue
bird, a budgie,  just like that.    She ate like crazy, but very
slowly withered away.   The avian vet had no idea what the problem
was, ordered tests and tons of medications for her terrible mites and
other conditions he thought she might have, which I frankly think
exacerbated the problem right from the beginning.
He told me I could tube feed her, but we chose not to go that route.
She died in her little cage amidst all her budgie friends, wrapped in
her favorite washcloth, with me singing her favorite song to her.  It
was sad, but kind of a relief.
