While the future never stops, I think the days of Max will also be counted.
Opus was at the beginning "not ready for the mainframe players".
But now we can browse thru Internet with free tools. And we can get personal 
mail and newsgroups.
(here in Switzerland I pay lesser for a Internet provider account than for 
getting fidonet echomail!)
I think, its time now replacing fido with something like a "independent 
internet user network" :-)
