My girl friend ordered one, made by IBM, and she bought it from DANMARK, the 
mail order firm.....it is absolutely fantastic...she paid $199.
Guess it pays to shop around, but it helps to know exactly what you are 
looking for.   I'm just not into the technical aspect...just want a 
scanner that will scan pages quickly....so I won't have to retype all the 
compilations that I have for my small business.  (These were typed before 
computers...and are getting old and frayed from copying..)
