Did you bi-amp with the non-carver amps? -> I have Legacy Focus loudspeakers and the sensitivity figures I gave came -> from their literature, however, these were backed up by an in depth review -> that I have kept to refer back to. I lack both the equipment and expertice to -> make such measurements in my home. -> As far as amps go, I have bi-amped them with both Carver TFM 45s, presently -> am running TFM 35s, but have tried friends Bryston, Sumo and a Parasound on -> them. They are extremely sensitive and accurate to my ears. I also have their -> matching center channel and am awaiting delivery of their powered subwoofer. -> So I guess you could say that I am completely sold on their line. Calling them -> for anything is like calling an old friend. One time I called with a question -> about placement and ended up on the phone with "Bill" (Bill Dudleston) for -> over an hour, during which I learned more about loudspeakers and acoustics -> than I have in several years of reading and experimenting. A great bunch with -> and extraordinary product. -> Cheers, John While I haven't purchased a pair yet, I live only about 75 miles from Springfield, Illinois where Legacy Audio is based. Earlier this year, I had some time on a Saturday and went down to visit them. "Bill" took me upstairs to their audition room and proceeded to spent well over an hour with me discussing the FOCUS and Whisper speakers. He was really down to earth. The speakers sounded absolutely wonderful. Bill even made a great offer on trading in my Klipsche Chorus on a pair of the FOCUS's. However, my wife had some other things to say when I discussed the upgrade with her. I would be very interested to know how your new sub works out. I don't recall that being in their catelog or any discussion on it when I was in Springfield. The FOCUS's have such a smooth sound that I can't image them needing a sub. -> --- AdeptXBBS v1.07g (Registered) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v2.0GJ ----------------> * Origin: Tempe, AZ USA (602)491-5285 (1:114/20) * Origin: Desktop Micro's BBS (1:232/302) |
