Hi All! Haven't used FidoNet in over 10 years! Amazing someone is still
posting the Code FAQ! Just wanted to say I miss writing BASIC code with you
all. Hey and my first post in years is off-topic! I remember Pat Pridgen
from the Small Business Admin BBS ...wrote a cute tagline program I
think...wish they made those for Outlook!

Still think coffee_klatsch needs a topic.  :)

And for on-topic, I wrote a program just the other day in QB to calculate
Fresnel zone for determining line-of-sight radius when setting up a last-mile
wireless network. QB is still useful!

PRINT "Fresnel Zone Calculator"
PRINT "By Aaron Tucker"
PRINT
INPUT "Distance (in miles): ", dist
INPUT "Frequenzy (in Ghz): ", freq
R = 43.3 * (SQR(dist / (4 * freq)))
PRINT "Fresnel Zone: "; R; : PRINT "feet."

Silly huh? I could do it on a calculator, but I had the urge to hit QB!

Back in the old days I was: 1:19/102 Teri's Cafe - Maximus BBS - Brownwood,

Now it's some evil web thing! Eek!
