My birds have always lived in the living room (I have owned budgies
since the 1960s). Why should you sequester them somewhere where they
will get no attention? The television is always on, low volume, to keep
the bird company when we are gone. Mine have always gotten upset if the
TV is NOT on.

They sleep right through the TV. What's the problem?
