Replying to a message of Earl Croasmun to Bob Ackley:

 EC> ~> Mount Saint Helens dumped more crud - including CO2 -
EC> into the atmosphere ~> in the early 1980s than mankind has
EC> since the Industrial Revolution. Mount ~> Pinatubo did it
EC> again in the 1900s. Yet temperatures didn't change much,
EC> if ~> at all, after either of those events.

EC> You don't need to tell Sauer about Mt. St. Helens. He knows
EC> all about it. He even lived there when it went off!

Note that I have about eight inches of global warming out in the yard -
with drifts up to four feet high, one car is buried up to its windshield.
The outside temperature at the moment is -5F, which is close to a
record low for this time of year, and the forecast high for today (Thursday)
is about +15F.

I had to dig my way through a four-plus foot drift at the door to the dogs'
kennel last evening so I could feed them.
