I have a dual battery setup in the car with a splitter of the alt.
going to a small but powerful marine battery in a battery case in the back.
Works great for mobile packet and no line noise.  (also works good in case of
jump starting other cars) I have been looking at a Kenwood TS 50 and it
starts at around $700.00 just saving up the pennys but had to toss out a line
to see what turns up.. :-)  But you have giving me other Ideas Thanks.
