        These are -really- nice HT radios. Depending on the battery pack in 
use, they output just over a watt. A fine way to get into packet without 
spending a bundle. I used mine with an MFJ-1274 TNC, which required the 
addition of an internal jumper to handle the 2AT's method of keying the PTT 
line. Even if you run on battery power (using one of those packs Radio Shack 
sells that lets you use 6 AA cells instead of the rechargable) the battery 
life is -very- good.
        Anyway, if you -do- get a 2AT, I have service information for it 
should you ever have need of it. The info covers the 2AT-4AT and some other 
models.
