My experience as a _customer_ at a variety of RS locations is that
salesman knowledge of product issues is often (if not usually) poor, though
that may be a problem locally only.
My experience is that RS is a great place to buy nuts-and-bolts
electronics stuff like connectors, surge protectors, phone hardware like
jacks. But I find it a frustrating place to shop for complex stuff. When I
shop for something like a phone answerer, it's at Circuit City or some other
local discount chain.
