I have watched TVO's "Succesful Home Video", with Dave Stringer, and I got some good pointers from there, is there any advice you could give me with regards to shooting a weeding? I might ask a friend from the video club to come along and assist with another Camera for more diverse shots, might this be a good idea? > Good luck Thanks! And nice meeting you, thanks for your answer to my question(s).. Robin M Pascall --- --------------- ** A related thread FOLLOWS this message. Yes Robin, having a friend along is a very good idea. You'll get twice the coverage. You can intercut the shots your frind gets with yours to make your video more professional. Try to use a tripod in church and it's acceptable to shoot off the sholder for the other events surronding the wedding like the outside shots and of corse the reception. People do funny things at weddings so keep your eyes open and your camera rolling. You can always dump the boring stuff when you cut it. Just keep shooting tape the more you shoot the better you'll get. I make some extra money while I'm home by shooting TV news events for our local TV stations. Some stations pay for good footage if they use it. I listen to a scanner all the time if there is a fire or some major news event in "my" area I grab my camera and I'm there. I usually have the tape the TV[station before the fire department isCfinished cleaning up. It's good experience, if you get to an incident early enough you won't have to worry about dodging police lines. If you get there late obey the police lines and use your zoom lense. Good luck and keep rolling tape.
