sure, no worries but the original question was asked about a tandberg
dc3800,
i susspect its would be a 3820 actually.
if arcadia supports the aspi interface then it should support the TANDBERG
DC
3800 seris.
arcsolo for os/2 works very well and has support for the whole tandberg
ange,
as does sytos plus (dos and os/2) butt hier are soe preformance and
reliability
issues withthe saofware.
but then thier is alway gtak and now thier is a rexx dervice graphical
interface to gtak thak mkes it a breeze to use, the author uses a tandberg
(several actuall) as well as native adaptec scsi host support. also gtak is
'freeware'. it is also offering a whole hots of os/2 network related tasks
that
arcadia will only give you if you use thier 'networked version' and 10 times
the cost of the single user version.
most of the problems with support for the tandberg range is that they are
een
as the 'professional back solution' tanberg has a reputation nd is used
commecially .. thier home user market place penetration is miminal to say the
most. this being the case the only places you will find tandberg drivers is
n
'professional' that is server based backup software .. or the 200 to 300
dollar
smal office solutions .. not a home market product like arcadia has now
ecome
att he hands of seagate technology.
lookup gtak . available on hobbes or that other more impressive site in
germany, leopold, leopard somting like that .. it makes hobbe;s look quite
dismall and out of date by comparision. yes i am aware of hobbes's recent
problems.
regards
Jonathan
... i do what i can, with what i have, are you able to say the same ?
