Hi Ann
AC> They told me to rest 5 times a day and delegate some of my duties to

AC> wear a brace on my right foot, but I refused. I told them when I
AC> started falling, then I might.
I don't know how I would fit that in. Although I did find myself
dropping off for a couple of hours this afternoon, at the keyboard, when
I was trying to produce some recommendations for our orthotics
(callipers, back braces, etc) taskforce, before the weekend.
I missed the deadline. Now I have some energy, and have been answering
echo's like a champ. Other days I just can't be bothered. in contrast I
noticed that one of the guys in our PC User Group who is regarded as the
internet guru, averaging 5hours/day on the internet - and he does work
professionally in computing as well!
I do wish I could get more things done, but when the curtains of
fatigue drop down on me, I realise that I need to ration what I do do.
They have been wanting me to seriously get into a wheelchair but the
doctor (who is suggesting it as an option), and the orthotist (who is
telling me, so that I will stop demanding good callipers from him, which
he is having trouble supplying), just do not understand how that would
change my life, and probably kill my good arm, which has an irreparable
tear in the shoulder which would be used to reach up for everything.
They seem to have very little feeling about the pros and cons of it.
regards
Allan
