as an update, the above was also related to the bubbleboy virus...

in any case, shouldn't they update the installed patches list to show the
older patch that the new one incorporated or replaced?

if not, then how is someone to look at a fully patched IE About box and one
on another machine and tell if all updates have been applied???

it is almost as bad (or possibly is already worse) than reading the IBM
RedBooks (to name but one item)... :( :( :(
