Makes sense...sort of, since Echomail isn't really controlled by Policy 4.

It's an interesting situation that may be something to investigate.

Could a moderator request that his/her echo be gated outside of Fidonet AND
would the echo distribution system(s) actually carry traffic that was
generated outside of Fidonet and gated into that echo?

I suppose the sticking point is the distribution system(s)...if it(they)
say no, then the moderator would be forced to find an alternate
distribution system.
