Yeah, I know.  That's a major disadvantage of Mac Laptops in my eyes.
Lately, my usage of laptops is such that hibernation is not needed,  but I
like to see it there if possible.

Being able to not have the CMOS coin cell and still provide needed
functionality is a feature, IMHO.  :)
