SH> Hello All! SH> I got back ten days ago from one of my madcap drives. I had a conference SH> to attend in Regina, Saskatchewan, and decided that it would be just as SH> easy to drive as it would have been to fly. Not quite as I covered some SH> 5500 km (just under 3500 miles) in 6 days but my Honda Accord covered the SH> distance with aplomb and I saw a lot of gorgeous country while the colours SH> were changing. I also saw a fair number of buffalo, caribou, Stone sheep, SH> elk and deer. And I who thought I was mad driving 1 050 km to visit friends up north on one day. But I didn't see any animals but very nice colour-change in the nature. SH> So what does all this prove other than my wife's conclusion that I must be SH> mad? The Alaska (Alcan) Highway has become amazingly good road, at least SH> from Whitehorse to Dawson Creek (1430 km or 890 miles). There really SH> isn't much of an excuse not to visit. Here it's just to follow E4 that goes from Denmark through Stockholm all the way up to the border to Finland. //Bj”rn ---* Origin: .
