BF> I feel sorry for the kids. They have nowhere to play exept in the
BF> mud-puddles. When my kids were small we had a snowdrift in the garden
BF> that was almost 2 yards high so they could build a snow-hut in it.

Northern North America just came out off a monster blizzard. It wasn't
so bad here in Yellowknife but north of me in Tuktoyaktuk they had
drifts 5-8 metres high! There were 120 km/hr winds blowing 4 days
straight. In today's local paper there was a picture of a drift up to a
guy's upstairs bedroom windows that buried his car completely. The drift
was over twice the height of the vehicle.

The winds are always worse north of the tree line than they are here.

Cheers

Jim, in Yellowknife, getting lighter, still cold
