I think XP/32 is pretty firmly 2GB for each app, 2GB common for system. 
The only people I know who play with /PAE (besides server admins) are a
couple of Pshop addicts, who use the switch with h-u-g-e strip images on
dual-Xeon boxes.  Seems to work there (3GB for the app, XP choked at 1).
