Anyone who's doing a ray tracing knows not to shut down the machine.
Computers do no work when they are turned off .

Personally, if it were a checkbox to enable/disable a feature like that I
would say fine but there are times when I raytrace an image just to see how
part of that image is going to come out, I don't want it saved so I have
little turds all over my disks. When you do a raytracing you probably trace
the image, at least partially, a hundred times before you finally let it
run to completion. You have to see how your image settings are working out
and tweak them to get them the way you want it.

Also, how are you going to handle the "this file exists,
replace?" type question if there is no user, you going to create a
unique name each time or overwrite the users' files? If you create a unique
name each time, who's going to clean up the mess?

Geo.
