According to our friend, Wikipedia:
Essentially all beverage containers in the United States are manufactured
from aluminum, whereas beverage cans made in Europe and Asia are
approximately 55 percent steel, and 45 percent aluminum alloy.
I believe our canned food is put into the same type of can as your
beverage cans. Thus the weak magnetic pull I told you about earlier with
our canned vegetable and fruit cans.
