You might be interested in a product that is produced up in my neck of
the woods.  A local company, Sea V Aquatics, 45 Old wakefield Road,
Rochester, NH 03868-8727, makes cases for compact 35 mm cameras like the
vivitar and canon models.  I think these cases are rated to 300 ft sw or
so.  The cameras used take better photos than the disposibles do and an
entire system with case and camera only runs a couple of hundred
dollars.  Anyway it might be worth checking out.
