Not exactly, there are some pediatricians how have taken the time to learn
about, and get special training in reguards to ADHD.  Now personally my
daughter, as well as myself were both diagnosed by board certified
Psychiatrists who also monitored our medication until we were at our right
levels.  Once there we were allowed to switch over to our regular family
doctors, because Psychiatry was not covered by our insurance.  Now we only go
back to the Psych. if for one reason or another our medication needs to be
reevaluated.
