OK, thanks.  That makes sense.  I've seen a similar thing occur, i.e., you
have to uncheck then re-check a box because something under the hood lost
track of current status.

I do a lot of VBA stuff in Excel at work, so I just wanted a place to start
looking if I am faced with the same symptoms as you saw.
