I expect the constant interruptions you describe are orders of =
magnitude more of an issue then a single mouse click which it isn't =
clear would even apply.

My method of remote administration is to pcanywhere to the server or =
attach to one of the admin drive shares. One of the advantages of =
pcanywhere is the servers are in a rack where nobody goes near them so I =
can leave them logged in to the domain admin account and pcanywhere does =
the remote login automatically for me. I almost never have to type in my =
password.

As for the second part, I'm trying to point out to you that for me =
"normal work" is being the domain admin. Yes I do normal stuff
like = pagemaker and email but I am constantly interrupted to perform =
administrative duties. On our AIX box I don't even have my own login, = I'm
always root there.

You haven't given enough info to judge whether you would be =
prompted at all. Just remember that there is no prompting for remote =
administrative tasks. It's for local tasks.

Of course, you would be well advised to follow long standing =
guidance that you should not log in using your domain admin account for =
normal work. But then you already know this.
