We're having a referendum here in Ontario, Canada, on October 10. We'll
be asked whether we want to change the voting system in future
provincial elections from the present one, in which the province is
divided into "ridings", which each elect one MPP, being the person who
gets the greatest number of votes, to a system in which some seats are
assigned to parties on a proportional-representation basis. Apparently,
this is the system you have had in New Zealand for a while.
So, what do you think of it? Is it better or worse than what you had
before? If you were an Ontarian, which way would you vote in the
referendum?
