Lee,

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Quentin Lewis, and I
am one of the people on FidoNET who has been trying so hard to get
UWSA's attention. I am from New Hampshire, and run a BBS system that
is a big supporter of the FidoNET PEROT ECHO. (The conference is
soon to change it's name to "UWSA" on December 12th)

For the past 9 months, I have been writing proposals/ideas and sent
them into Dallas in the hopes of sparking up some interest from UWSA
in going online. For the longest time, I was dissapointed that I had
not even received a reply, but am now very happy to see the interest
and activity increasing.

Our FidoNET efforts alone have helped people from NH to TX to AZ
to CA (and many other places) get connected and communicating. We
were passing NAFTA information/discussion across the country like
you would not believe.

I understand that at this point, Russ Lucas, a member of our FidoNET
conference, has been speaking with Russ Varney (sp) and yourself about
expanding the UWSA presence online. I understand that UWSA is very
enthusiastic about doing this, and I am very happy to hear this. I
believe this will be very valuable to UWSA and all it's members.

I have been trying to feed Russ Lucas as much information about
FidoNET and the Internet as possible so that he can go to the meeting
on January 8th as informed as he can. There are actually several of us
trying to give him as much informaton as possible. I have written
several proposals in the last 9 months or so, and I have also
forwarded those to Russ.

I would personally love to be at the January 8th meeting, but I
know that I am probably not needed. I would, however, like to forward
you copies of my proposals. If you are interested, please reply back
to me here and I will either get them to you electronically, or
FEDEX them to you.
