I have been working on a solution to this for a long time.
In order to duct tape him to the stool, we'd also have to make sure the
stool was securely fastened to the floor.  If it wasn't, he'd find a way
to knock it over.  Come to think of it, he'd manage even if it WAS
secured.
Then there's still the problem of Personal Megnetism.  He's still moving
over toward me all throughout the set.  He can bump into the headstock
or get his mic cable caught in my tuning pegs, but this just doesn't
send the signal to his brain to move away from me (mmmmmm... donuts..).
We thought about making an X with duct tape, but it's way too simple to
work.   I have Mark moving off to the other direction to clue him in,
but that fails too.   Eventually, he'll be sitting on my lap.
And I already have someone to do that.
