I have a acquaintance, on of the PI's that I worked with about 3 years
ago on a license fraud case, that tells interesting Security Guard
stories. One is whenever they got a guard that was infatuated with
Police work, they'd put him at the Cathcart land fill. The land fill
was closed two years ago, but the methane burn off torch is still
burning. These guys would be put behind a locked gate, 1/4 mile from
anything, and be told they had an important job, to watch that torch,
since it was the largest landfill burnoff torch in the State, and make
sure it didn't go out. They'd give the selected candidate a propane
torch to "relight" it in the event it went out.
The engineers believe the burnoff torch will burn for another 25 to 30
years. Sound like retirement work to me :)

My lifes philosophy, show it to me in a book, thats nice, give it to me
and let me work, I learn.
