i was not aware that DJGCC was still maintained... IIRC, FPC (and/or
lazarus) have a {$mode DJGCC} option... FPC (and lazarus) have made many
leaps ahead in the last few years... one or both are on the verge of
releasing newer versions that have many bug fixes... i monitor the lazarus
mailing list on a daily basis and, while i do not (yet) do svn updates for
their latest versions, i have seen where many items have been fixed over
the last year or so...
as for "the resulting program usually breaks"... has any of this
been reported to the support group(s) of the compiler(s)?? if not, there's
no way, unless the fix is needed by someone who maintains the code, for the
fix to be known as needed or even implemented... such is the OSS way of
life :?
heck, i'm currently wading into trying to compile delphi code with
absolutely no knowledge of delphi and only grasping at the straws necessary
to "convert" the delphi code to lazarus/fpc for proper
compilation...
