Oh, ok. I see what you're saying here now. I don't think I'm the
"computer gal" for the school, though. Our school is pretty large. We
have 14 math teachers alone. Over 100 faculty, and over 2000 students
registered for school next year. No WAY I can be the computer gal for
the school. (We actually have several persons who are perceived as
computer "experts" in different departments of the school, and some
classified staff who maintain different computers in different parts of
the school.)
Now, if you'd said I was "computer gal" for the MATH dept, that would
probably be fairly accurate. Although I am fortunate to have several
dept. members who are fairly competent about the machine. I know that
Chuck Beams and some others have said that I'll be disturbed during
teaching time with people asking me to fix things for them. I guess so,
but I have a hard time imagining anyone doing that. Oh well, the first
time it happens I guess I'm honor bound to report it here so that others
can say "I told you so".
