I think the question would be asked as to the speeds of your internet
connection? I've never had a problem with fast transfers, especially with
bundled up text files. Granted, some of the stuff that comes out of the
filegate are too large (and can usually be downloaded from the software's main
site at much faster speeds), but.. couple of answers you might want to look
into:
1) What does your uplink you're getting these files from have for upload
bandwith?
2) What is your download bandwith?
Also, you may just possibly have a bad connection with your uplink. You could
always choose to get files from any other system in Fidoland. Choices, choices!
