hmm since I haven't had the pleasure of working on many Gm carb's
either they work or they die.. tweeking seems to be out of style with the gm
q-jet carbs (at least around here)

did that on the 454 motorhome and could tell the diff in milage along with
the lack of low end loadup.. now at least the thing'll pull up the I-75
kentucky hill without hitting 1st gear.. whew!
