Agree. So far the only thing I've found I can't do in the Free version of
SUSE Linux is multimedia video. Openoffice works for my current purposes.

Of course I think Linux has it's own quirks. I dumped Mandrake when there
name change caused some problems with my install. Then when I went with a
fresh, clean install of a current version I found it no longer supported my
video hardware ( Purchased version may but free ..........) Most amusing
part about it was it worked under an earlier release and worked DURING the
install. First boot after well........... The solutions I found all
required much more in depth knowledge of Linux than I have .

MS seems to have a different view of how computers should work than I do.
If I want to be irritated I can find my own ways. No reason to pay MS to do
it
. Of course to be fair so far XP has caused few irritations, other than
wanting updates to be automatic, wanting me to use their firewall etc.
