subject: Re: The XP update that you CANNOT Uninstall

From: "Gary Britt"

After reading comments here, when windowsupdate offered this and another
download, at first I said OK, then the EULA popped up and described it as a
pre-beta release. I said, wait a minute I don't want anybody's pre-beta
release software on my computer, so I clicked cancel and bailed on the
install. I went back in to windowsupdate and clicked not to offer that
update again. So far windows hasn't aborted on me in the past hour since
doing that. Like you I've downloaded and installed several different/same
versions of windows genuine advantage when downloaded files from MS.
