I hope that goes through, and soon. We recently had to dump a GP because she
refused to refer my husband, who is an insulin-dependent diabetic, to an
endocrinologist. She claimed to be competent to treat diabetes, yet failed to
order the routine yearly assessment tests that all diabetics should have.
She also made both his insulin and Paxil prescriptions non-refillable. They
were only for a one-month supply.
We've had a hard time finding a decent GP since my company switched to
Aetna... I'm just waiting to see how the new one deals with the fact that I
require a yearly MRI!
