 Okay.  What she, and now you, are saying goes against my experience
 with 3 different HMOs - SENTARA (my current one for 8+ years),
 HEALTHKEEPERS (my wife's current for 5+ years) and TRIGON BC/BS for a
 year.  Haven't had any problems getting referrals when indicated.
 The ped developmental neurologist my son sees isn't a "plan"
 specialist but the HMO picks up all but the copay for every visit
 just have to have the referral form from the PCP for each time.
