Now that I know you keep an eye on the Discovery channel...!!!
Did you catch the bit on bats? .....that they could process sensing
data faster than the nerves in their brains could receive it and
even before the data became available to process ......effectivly
being a tiny bit AHEAD of time-
......The Navy being MOST interested in this "quicker than quick"
for sonar (""AND OTHER"") applications!

Between you and Richard, I do pick up at least the senses of uncertaincy.
During a short interview ("DISCOVERY again), one physicist was quoted
as saying it took three intense years of technical study to actually
understand present levels of our quantum world; and they were fast
pushing four with no end in sight. With such heavy stratification of
knowledge growing, even the DISCOVERY channel/magazine is falling
behind !
......and that's the last refuge of us lesser taught folks!
