Right.  If a node uses the Domain Name listed in David's DNS, it queries
for an IP from the authoratative system for that domain to attempt to get
an IP.

That system responds with the madmail DNS address which then need to be
queried to get the IP that was originally wanted.

No matter what, two queries are required.

Of course there are exceptions such as caching and so forth.

I make no such assumption.  You made that assumption.  I was pointing out
that it a waste to have numerous DNS systems trying to do the samething
without cooperation.
