The US and Britain helped a lot.
...I often wonder how much atomic bombs would have been dropped on 
Germany if the USSR was late in defeating Germany by a few months. 
Berlin, Hamburg would have been instead of Hiroshima and Nagasaki....
If the USSR was late....
