Our state legislature just tabled all work on charter schools. I predict
that more school levies are going to fail until we have a complete
overhaul of the public school system.

It is lousy, our kids are going to grow up and compete in a tight job
market with those from England, Germany, Japan, Russia, and every other
civilized nation on earth.  Microsoft, Intel, and Boeing cannot find
enough people for their high tech jobs because we are not teaching our
children properly in school these days.
