Hi, to you Alexis and other visitors,
FI-TELEMATE is a conference, an echo for my favorite communication
program TELEMATE. This is a program in the same category as Telix or
Procomm or Terminate... It can be used as well on DOS as on Windows. But
I found Telemate to be the easiest to use because of the script
language. I am not a programmer, but understanding the script language
has made all my logons to BBS simple and fully automated. I dial, export
and receive the messages from my offline reader with no intervention on
my part... Truly allows using a computer for what it was meant,
relieving a user from the routine tasks...
Participants here are users of Telemate who try to help and support
each other when difficulties arise... There are less and less of
those... difficulties, fortunately... But there are less participants...
Unfortunately, Telemate and Fidonet BBSes are slowly being replaced
by the Internet and it's own communication programs... But I hope that
Fidonet and BBSes will be around for a good while still, because, I've
mastered the technology... and I use it daily...
Jacques
