I don't use roaming profiles. I configure my machines to my taste. =
It takes little time and compared to the lifetime of the machines it is = nothing.

I'm not buying into the Vista part of this thread, but there are many
people (e.g. me) who often have to use a variety of machines, perhaps =

my work, or perhaps to help someone, or perhaps on a test box. And, we
don't always have the central domain arrangement allowing roaming =
profiles
etc.
Under those conditions, it is really irritating to have to change some
dumb default setting again and again. In my dreams, I imagine, say, =
TWO
defaults. The primary default being for the alleged dummies, and =
another
"default" bunch of settings which an advanced user could easily =
invoke.
