The sbbs_dev.zip (or .tgz for Linux-x64 sysops like yourself) contains *no*
files that you might have changed. Download and update using that.

Download a .tgz. Extract. No hoops.

CVS doesn't do some magic thing that you as a sysop needed. If you just want to
update to the latest executables and scripts, download 2 files and extract into
your exec dir:

I think you're making this out to be more complicated than it is.

Yeah, I'm not sure what're trying to convey. You liked CVS and we're no longer
using it. You don't *have* to use Git to stay up-to-date. You didn't have to
use CVS for that either.
