Dangerous for kids playing as well. Yes, we must DO IT for the children. Funny, one the most desirable places to live around here is old Mount Pleasant, which is full of connecting roadways. The relatively new subdivision design you mention is common and awful and only contributes to the problem with the "safety" arguments. I say build more jails and put the speeders in them overnight. = ;-o The best urban design is no big collectors, just lots of routes. In many places it is too late to fix, and adults don't want to be responsible for their actions. - Richard --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 106/2000 633/267 |
