I finally made it back to the casting pot with the Lee 1 oz slug
mould. You're right. It works much better when you use pure
lead. :-) It only took an average of 6 whacks to get the slug
off the center post as opposed to several dozen, or having to pry
it off.
So far, I've only tested them for velocity and haven't done any
accuracy testing. I decided to use my 1 oz trap loading data.
I used Winchester AA cases, Win 209 primer, 18.0 grains of Clays,
Claybuster WAA12SL clone wad. That is not among the listed data,
so I can't recommend that anyone actually use that.
