Scanner support is very lacking in NT... the only scanner model supported 
out of the (NT) box is the HP Scanjet2CX. A few other models have 
NT-specific drivers... I'm looking at a low cost ($329 CDN) Microtek 
ScanMaker E3 that promises both W95 and NT drivers.
As you've found out, W95 drivers generally don't work under NT.
