Well.. if I could backtrack a bit.. Neil is a pretty good QB. However, he
is NOT worth whatever astonishing sums they paid him :) (I believe there
was about 7 million to sign his name..)
The thing is (and this is a good example of just how dumb the Jets
management really is) Neil is the kind of QB who needs a good offensive line
in order to function. In Pitt, he had one of the best, arguabley THE best.
In NY, he has something resembling swiss cheese. A lack of receivers
doesn't help either.
The Jets management had better get their heads out of their asses if they
think one or two big-name players will solve their problems. What they need
is slow, steady healing through acquiring solid players. Here's the
metaphor of the day. You don't use one or two big band-aids to patch up a
major wound.. you use many small but steady stitches :) :)
